Canon J\u00f3zef Poskrobko, parish priest of Prosty\u0144. Afterwards, the participants proceeded to the Execution Site, where a Catholic Mass was celebrated, presided over by Bishop Piotr Sawczuk.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During his homily, the bishop delivered the following words:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>The ground on which we stand hides the bodies and ashes of hundreds of thousands of people, murdered as a result of the brutal actions inspired by a criminal ideology. Human life meant nothing to it; only the fulfilment of the plan to conquer the world and subject it to the power of the so-called master race mattered. Other people were granted the right to live only as long as they were useful for forced labour. In the Nazi vocabulary, there was no notion of human dignity, the right to self-determination, the right to freedom, or even the right to life. The twentieth century is a period marked by the horror of world wars that claimed the lives of millions.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This year, numerous families of former prisoners of the Treblinka I Labour Camp were in attendance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The ceremony was attended by:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 J\u00f3zef Mali\u0144ski \u2013 representative of the Association of Combatants of the Republic of Poland and Former Political Prisoners from the branch in Stoczek W\u0119growski, and Righteous Among the Nations;<br \/>\u2013 Robert Mam\u0105tow, Senator of the Republic of Poland, together with his wife;<br \/>\u2013 Jacek Odziemczyk and Sylwester Rytel-Andrianik, councillors of the Soko\u0142\u00f3w District Council, representing Senator Waldemar Kraska;<br \/>\u2013 Alicja Cicho\u0144, Head of the Delegation of the Mazovian Voivodeship Office in Siedlce;<br \/>\u2013 On behalf of Adam Struzik, Marshal of the Mazovian Voivodeship, Roman Adamczyk, Senior Specialist in the Marshal\u2019s Chancellery of the Mazovian Voivodeship Office in Warsaw;<br \/>\u2013 Ewa Olszewska, member of the Soko\u0142\u00f3w District Board;<br \/>\u2013 Jan S\u0142omiak, Mayor of the Town and Municipality of Kos\u00f3w Lacki, Anna Maliszewska, Deputy Chairwoman of the Town and Municipal Council, and Urszula Weso\u0142owska, Head of the Organisational and Social Department of the Town and Municipal Office in Kos\u00f3w Lacki;<br \/>\u2013 Apolonia Stasiuk, Head of Repki Commune;<br \/>\u2013 Piotr Krzepicki, Chairman of the Council of Ma\u0142kinia G\u00f3rna Commune, Ewa Szymanik, Head of the Education Department, and Urszula Rytel, Head of the Promotion Department;<br \/>\u2013 Members of the Museum Council of the Treblinka Museum, led by Prof. Dr. Hab. Mariusz Skawi\u0144ski and teachers;<br \/>\u2013 The Cardinal Stefan Wyszy\u0144ski Primary School in Kos\u00f3w Lacki with their standard, led by Deputy Head Beata Choi\u0144ska;<br \/>\u2013 The School Complex in Kos\u00f3w Lacki with their standard, led by Headmistress Hanna Przesmycka;<br \/>\u2013 The John Paul II Primary School in Prosty\u0144 with their standard, led by Headmistress Agnieszka Ste\u0107 and teachers;<br \/>\u2013 Primary School No. 1 named after Maria Curie-Sk\u0142odowska in Ma\u0142kinia G\u00f3rna with their standard, led by Headmaster Waldemar Skurzy\u0144ski;<br \/>\u2013 Primary School No. 2 named after Fryderyk Chopin in Ma\u0142kinia with their standards, including the banner entrusted by the Home Army \u201cOpocznik\u201d district, led by Headmistress Marta Jasionek;<br \/>\u2013 The Stanis\u0142aw Staszic School Complex in Ma\u0142kinia G\u00f3rna with their standard, led by Headmistress Agnieszka Ga\u015b, Wojciech Hada\u0142a, and Piotr Piechowicz;<br \/>\u2013 The Cardinal Stefan Wyszy\u0144ski Primary School in Kie\u0142czew with their standard, led by Headmaster Andrzej Koro\u015b;<br \/>\u2013 The Rev. Jan Twardowski Primary School in Glinia with their standard, led by Headmistress Justyna Brzozowska;<br \/>\u2013 Primary School No. 2 named after Janusz Korczak in \u0141och\u00f3w with their standard, led by Headmistress Renata Jaczewska;<br \/>\u2013 The Public Primary School named after Janusz Korczak in Jasienica with their standard and teachers;<br \/>\u2013 The Primary School in Or\u0142o with their standard, led by Headmistress Ma\u0142gorzata Dmochowska;<br \/>\u2013 Scouts and Cubs of the ZHP Scout Troop named after Janusz Korczak in Soko\u0142\u00f3w Podlaski with their standard, led by Commander S\u0142awomir Pasik;<br \/>\u2013 The \u201cZenit\u201d Scout Troop from Ma\u0142kinia G\u00f3rna Commune, led by Scoutmaster Ewa Roguska and Bart\u0142omiej Sienicki;<br \/>\u2013 The Senior Citizens\u2019 Club of Sadowne;<br \/>\u2013 Representatives of the media and local press.<\/p>\n<p>At the conclusion of the ceremony, an artistic performance was presented by the <em>Belfers Band<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the ceremony, the open-air exhibition <em>\u201cThe Black Road and the Gravel Pit at the Treblinka Memorial Site\u201d<\/em> was presented. The exhibition consisted of ten panels, and its curator, Anna Remiszewska, recounted the history of the Gravel Pit and the Black Road.<\/p>\n<p>The Museum\u2019s Director, Dr. Edward Kop\u00f3wka, thanked all participants and institutions supporting the preparation of the ceremony, including: the District Police Headquarters in Soko\u0142\u00f3w Podlaski, the State Fire Service Headquarters in Soko\u0142\u00f3w Podlaski, the Volunteer Fire Brigade from Kos\u00f3w Lacki, the RM-MEDITRANS Independent Public Healthcare Centre in Soko\u0142\u00f3w Podlaski, soldiers of the 22nd Military Cartographic Centre in Komorowo, as well as the Scouts and Cubs.
