On 20 August, the Museum\u2019s staff participated in the commemoration of the 82nd anniversary of the transport of Roma prisoners from Hodon\u00edn u Kun\u0161t\u00e1tu to Auschwitz II-Birkenau. Between 1942 and 1943, a so-called \u201cGypsy Camp\u201d operated in Hodon\u00edn u Kun\u0161t\u00e1tu, where entire Roma families from across the Czech and Moravian territories were forcibly imprisoned. A total of 1,396 people passed through the camp. Of these, 207 died in the camp, and 863 were transported to Auschwitz II-Birkenau, where they were murdered.
