The Council\u2019s work focuses on issues related to the protection and development of the grounds of the former German Nazi concentration and extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau, as well as other Holocaust memorial sites. The two-day session opened with an inspection of the new exhibition and education building currently under construction on the museum grounds.<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project is being funded through designated grants from the budget of the Mazovian Voivodeship Government and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, with financing provided from the state budget. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2025. The new facility is set to play a key role in the educational and exhibition activities of the museum.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Council members visited the site of the former German Nazi extermination camp Treblinka II, where they were briefed on the site\u2019s history and the scope of ongoing archaeological research.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>On the second day of the session, held at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister in Warsaw, Dr. Edward Kop\u00f3wka, Director of the Treblinka Museum, presented information regarding the Treblinka Memorial Site and the results of archaeological investigations conducted on the grounds of the former extermination camp, the Labour Camp, and the Execution Site.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr. Piotr M. A.
