“THE JEWS IN BULGARIAN LANDS” is the name of the new temporary exhibition on the premises of the Treblinka Museum. The opening ceremony was held on September 1, 2023. The exhibition contains 22 boards dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the rescue of Bulgarian Jews during the World War II and in memory of the victims of the Holocaust and crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n

It was prepared on the basis of archives of the St. St. Cyril and Methodius National Library in Sofia.<\/p>\n

The ceremony began with laying of wreaths by the delegations at the central monument in the Memorial Site of the Treblinka II Extermination Camp and at the monuments at the Execution Site.<\/p>\n

Kalina Stancheva \u2013 Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute, Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria,<\/p>\n

Julia Tzerova \u2013 Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria,<\/p>\n

Urasa Mongkolnavin \u2013 Ambassador of Thailand to Poland,<\/p>\n

Javier Alcides Bonagas de Gracia \u2013 Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to Poland,<\/p>\n

Christian Onuoha Ugwu \u2013 Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to Poland –<\/p>\n

Stanis\u0142aw Stankiewicz \u2013 President of the Central Council of the Roma in Poland, Chairman of the International Romani Union.<\/p>\n

Justyna Zembrowska \u2013 Head of the Branch Office in Siedlce, on behalf of Adam Struzik, Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship,<\/p>\n

Andrzej Krawczyk \u2013 Polish historian, former civil servant and diplomat<\/p>\n

Gra\u017cyna Chor\u0105\u017cykiewicz \u2013 certified translator of the Bulgarian language<\/p>\n

Tomasz Nowak \u2013 Professor at the University of Natural Sciences and Humanities in Siedlce<\/p>\n

Marek Fiuk – artist, sculptor, creator of the “Meritorious for the Treblinka Museum” medal.<\/p>\n

Bo\u017cena Kordek \u2013 Mayor of Ma\u0142kinia G\u00f3rna<\/p>\n

Students and teachers from the School Complex in Kos\u00f3w Lacki together with the Headmaster Hanna Przesmycka<\/p>\n

After the official opening of the exhibition and discussion, the participants met in the conference room, where a documentary film “Through Sofia to Freedom” was presented, sceenplay by Barbara Rogalska.<\/p>\n

At the end of the ceremony a tree was planted by the Bulgarian Ambassador Margarita Ganeva at the Korczak Forest at the Treblinka Museum.<\/p>\n
