Author of pedagogical books: <i>How to Love a Child<\/i> [<i>Jak kocha\u0107 dziecko<\/i>] (1920), <i>The Child\u2019s Right to Respect<\/i> [<i>Prawo dziecka do szacunku<\/i>] (1928), <i>Educational Moments<\/i> [<i>Momenty wychowawcze<\/i>] (1919), <i>The Rules of Life<\/i> [<i>Prawid\u0142a \u017cycia<\/i>] (1930), <i>Playful Pedagogy<\/i> [<i>Pedagogika \u017cartobliwa<\/i>] (1939), the most famous books addressed to children: <i>Mo\u015bki, Joski i Srule<\/i> (1909), <i>J\u00f3zki, Ja\u015bki i Franki<\/i> (1910), <i>King Matt the First<\/i> [<i>Kr\u00f3l Maciu\u015b Pierwszy<\/i>] (1922), <i>King Matt on a Deserted Island<\/i> [<i>Kr\u00f3l Maciu\u015b na wyspie bezludnej<\/i>] (1923), <i>Bankruptcy of Little Jack<\/i> [<i>Bankructwo ma\u0142ego D\u017ceka<\/i>] (1924), <i>When I Am Little Again<\/i> [<i>Kiedy zn\u00f3w b\u0119d\u0119 ma\u0142y<\/i>] (1925), naturalistic social novels: <i>Children of the Streets<\/i> [<i>Dzieci ulicy<\/i>] (1901), <i>Child of the Drawing Room<\/i> [<i>Dziecko salonu<\/i>] (1906), social satires \u2013 <i>Fiddle-Faddle<\/i> [<i>Kosza\u0142ki opa\u0142ki<\/i>] (1905), dramatic works such as <i>Senat szale\u0144c\u00f3w<\/i> [<i>Madmen\u2019s Senate<\/i>] (1931). His last work \u2013 <i>Diary<\/i> [<i>Pami\u0119tnik<\/i>] from the Warsaw ghetto (1942). He felt he belonged to the dual culture and nationality, as a Jew-Pole he was active in both communities, also to bring them closer together.
